What a year 2016 has been for all at Perfect Moment Films. It’s been a year full of beautiful weddings and gorgeous couples and it really has been a pleasure to attend and provide wedding videography for all the weddings we have.
In this blog post, we cover some of our highlights from the year and look forward to what’s next for Perfect Moment Films.
January - We Added A Fabulous New Member To Our Team
At the beginning of this year, we welcome a fantastic new member to our team, Chris Pavey.
Chris has a wealth of experience in the TV and Film industry and has worked with many high-profile clients in his time. Seeking more creative control, he began to undertake freelance filming for himself, before joining our team. Chris has been a great addition to our team and we’re looking forward to the next steps in working together.
March - A Real Pleasure To Provide A Wedding Film For A Very Worthy Cause
It was a pleasure to provide Wedding Videography for Mark and Jeanette as part of the Gift Of A Wedding Charity
Back in March we were delighted to provide our Wedding Videography service as a charitable donation towards the wedding of Mark and Jeanette as part of the Gift Of A Wedding Charity. Gift Of A Wedding are such a wonderful charity who put together weddings, usually at very short notice, for couples who unfortunately have been affected by cancer – often terminal. It was a pleasure to be part of the day, alongside many other fabulous suppliers and a real honour to create a memory of the day for years to come.
April - We Had A Vision, A Dream, A Dream Within
Towards the end of 2015 we had an idea to try out something that had never really been done before. To come up with a concept, a story and film a high production value ‘styled shoot’ film, that was totally different to your usual ‘behind the scenes’ style of film that is seen so often within the wedding industry. With the help of other brilliant suppliers and the gorgeous location of Prestwold Hall, we created ‘The Dream Within’ – which to this day we are VERY proud of.
The story follows a young girl who is evacuated to a country Manor during the war. There, she discovers a musical wedding box which transports her 20 years into the future, where she gets to live every young girl’s dream. To be a beautiful Bride and meet her perfect Groom..
Many thanks once again to all the fabulous suppliers and actors/models involved!
June - Wolves, Lay and Stearman
In June, we were delighted to be invited and be involved with the high-profile wedding of Wolves Footballer Richard Stearman and his Fiancée Beth Lay. It was a beautiful wedding, with the reception being held at Kilworth House, Leicestershire. Beth and Rich were both a lovely couple to work with and very approachable, which made our task much easier on the day. Many thanks to Paul at F13 Events for using our wedding videography services on the day.
August - Stephanie + Michael's Wedding At Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
So where to start with Stephanie and Michael’s Blenheim Palace Wedding?
Well, in terms of the actual venue, it doesn’t really get much bigger. Blenheim Palace, as it’s name describes, is an absolutely colossal venue that oozes beauty and grandeur. Surrounded by stunning grounds sculptured by Capability Brown, as venues go, this is the one to provide wedding videography for and is a wedding videographer’s dream!
If that wasn’t enough, Stephanie and Michael themselves were an absolute pleasure to work with, so friendly, approachable and fun. It really was a great day all round. We were really glad to pull off both the drone shots and horse + carriage shots too, making for an epic film.
In one part of Stephanie’s feedback, she advised the film was so good that ‘At one point she thought she was watching scenes from Downton Abbey’.
We’d say that was a job well done.
September - The Secret Life Of The Zoo, Port Lympne
So back in late 2015, we had an enquiry come through, from the lovely Pete and Kerry, asking if we’d like to film their wedding, in a Safari Park! It really doesn’t get much cooler! They were both married at Port Lympne Zoo/Animal reserve in Hythe.
It was so much fun filming all the animals and the Safari Park tours as part of Kerry + Pete’s big day. Couple that with the fact they got married outside (before the heaven’s opened!), it made for a really great film. It’s just a shame the sun didn’t stay out that tiny bit longer, but hey, that’s the British weather for you. It was still a fantastic day regardless and we really didn’t mind the drive back home because of it!
October - King Of Wishful Thinking
In October, we did something a little different – A Vow Renewal, which we’ve never done before. So many thanks to Val at Benessamy Weddings and Events for recommending us to film Alistair and Amanda’s special renewal.
It was a great, relaxed day alongside some other top suppliers and to top it off, non other than Peter Cox himself from Go West, headlined the evening with a fantastic live performance. It was great to hear some classics!
November - And The Winners Are...
In November we won The Wedding Industry Award for ‘Best Videographer in the East Midlands’ for 16/17. This is the second time we’ve been lucky enough to win this Award and we never take it for granted. It really is an honour to be voted for by our lovely couples and also for the judges to recognise our work as the best in the region within the industry. We’re very grateful.
It was a fantastic night for a lot of our industry friends too, with Bawdon Lodge Farm, Thomas The Caterer, Sami Tipi, Benessamy Wedding and Events, Natalie Hewitt and Make Up By Jenni all winning awards.
2017 promises to be an even bigger year for us, so we really can’t wait to get started. We will continue to push our standards and develop our films further in order to give all our future couples, the very best wedding videography and wedding films we can offer for years to come.
Thank You From Perfect Moment Films
Once again, many many thanks to our fabulous couples this year and supplier friends. We wish we could list all of our weddings as they’re all highlights, but sadly a blog can only be so long!
Roll on 2017, we can’t wait!
