Perfect Moment Films wins ‘Best Wedding Videographer UK’ at the 2020 National Wedding Industry Awards

Hello all! WOW! What a start to the New Year it has been! On Wednesday evening we were absolutely thrilled to find out that we had been awarded ‘Best Wedding Videographer UK 2020’ by the National Wedding Awards! (TWIA’s).

Needless to say, whilst we had entered the awards always in the hope that one day we would win such a prestigious accolade, little did we actually think we would go and do it this year. So much so, that we were actually at a lovely dinner with some fellow wedding industry suppliers (and close friends) and were loosely keeping tabs on proceedings via the awards Twitter page. So it was all very much a very welcome shock!

When I set up the business in late 2008, Wedding Videography as we know it now, was still very much within it’s infancy. Gone were the days of ‘Uncle Bob’ type films and in were coming much more Cinematic and professional looking productions that focused more on composition, light and the art of storytelling. Back then, there wasn’t Facebook or other social media platforms and there certainly were not groups and forums based around wedding videography, so learning the trade was very difficult and you really did have to start and work your way fully from the ground upwards. Luckily these days with social media and online groups/forums, it’s so much easier to learn and polish your craft.

“Thank you so much. It’s something to treasure for many years & it’s absolutely magical.”

It’s at this point more than anything, we’d like to thank all of the lovely couples we have worked with this year (and over the years!) for trusting in us to capture your beautiful wedding days for you and for also taking the time out of your busy schedules to not only vote for us, but to also leave incredible feedback on our service, of which we shall cherish forever. You are all amazing and it really has been an honour to work with each and every one of you and share your story with others.

Highlights for 2019 include visiting The Wilderness Reserve for the first time, what an incredible venue! Filming at the stunning Cliveden House, which is of course where Meghan Markle prepared for her wedding to Prince Harry and also travelling to beautiful Tuscany, where we filmed a beautiful, intimate wedding. We also visited The Savoy and Connaught Hotels in London and these and many other venues have made it an amazing year.

We would also like to thank all of the amazing wedding planners, venues, suppliers and friends we’ve made over the years, for all your amazing support. We have been lucky enough to film some incredible weddings and visit insanely stunning locations during our time and a lot of that is down to the wonderful connections we have with others within the industry. So thank you so much!

So, where does this leave us for 2020?

Well, needless to say we have another absolutely incredible year ahead of us. We’re visiting some absolutely incredible venues, such as Hedsor House, The Old Royal Naval College in London, Iscoyd Park, Trinity Buoy Wharf, Cliveden House and Stowe House but to name a few (there are so many more!). We’ll also be travelling around Europe again this year, so make sure to look out for our Instagram stories and follow our adventures!

We’re so excited to get started and literally cannot wait for the year ahead of us! As for now, we’re back off to drink some more champagne and celebrate what has been an incredible start to 2020.

Thank you all, Chris + the team at Perfect Moment Films x
